A New Guinness World Record for Eastminster's Jacqueline Sadler

Exciting News from Eastminster United Church:

At 12:36 am on Wednesday, June 22, our own Jacqueline Sadler set a new Guinness World Record for the longest marathon church organ playing. The previous record was 40 hours and 3 minutes. Jacqueline set a new record at 40 hours, 36 minutes. We've received media coverage with CBC news, CTV news, 680 news and the Toronto Star. Others are also picking up the story. Some of the on-line media reports can be found below:

While it was exciting for the record to be broken, the purpose was to raise funds for the music program at EUC. We came close to our goal of $10,000 but we're still not there yet. If you were intending to support the fundraiser, you can still do so. If you would like to receive a receipt, just make your cheque out to Eastminster United Church and designate it for the Organ Marathon.

Congratulations Jacqueline! And thank-you for your dedication to enhancing and expanding the dynamic music program at EUC.
