LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER IS TODAY

ATTENTION TASTE OF THE DANFORTH FOOD/BEVERAGE VENDORS

Dear BIA Members:

We are writing to inform you that Toronto Public Health has scheduled four TEMPORARY FOOD HANDLERS TRAINING CLASSES for this year’s Taste of the Danforth Festival. The classes are being offered free of charge and will take place on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, August 1/12 from 9:30am to 11:30am
  • Wednesday, August 1/12 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm
  • Thursday, August 2/12 from 9:30am to 11:30am
  • Thursday, August 2/12 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm

The classes are taking place at 740 Pape Avenue (Nisbet Lodge across from the Pape Subway station) in the Boemer Dining Room, 12th floor. Each course takes approximately 2 hours and there is a quiz at the end of the training so attendees must bring a paper and pen to take notes. Due to the nature of the course, latecomers cannot be admitted. You only need to go to one of the classes but if you wish to attend you must call Toronto Public Health at 416-338-1731 to reserve a space BY TUESDAY, JULY 31ST AT 2:30PM and classes are limited to a maximum of 40 people per session so we suggest you register early. When you call to reserve please clearly say your first and last name, restaurant /establishment name, date and time of requested session and Taste of the Danforth.

Health Inspectors will be out during the festival to monitor all food/beverage vendors (including variety and dollar stores) and as stated in the Taste policies, all BIA members wishing to sell food or beverages (including bottled water) of any kind must attend and complete this course.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
