Good Morning BIA Members,
This is a quick reminder/update on all of the activities that will be happening in our BIA this Friday and Saturday as part of our World Within a Neighbourhood FIFA celebration.
Friday, June 12
- 3pm Watch Party for Team Canada's first match. This will take place in the Green P lot at Danforth and Playter. Admission is free. NOTE: the Green P lot will be closed at 12:01am on Friday morning and will reopen at 8pm on Saturday, June 13.
- 6-9pm live music in the CafeTO parkettes celebrating Team Canada
Saturday, June 13
- Noon to 4pm - live music in the CafeTO parkettes (noon - 2pm), face painters, balloon twisters, strolling super heroes.
- Noon to 4pm - BIA treasure hunt - we're at 250 participants so it will be busy for the participating businesses.
- 2pm to 4pm - Free concert featuring Moskitto Bar - in the Green P lot.
- Kick off the Support Local Contest - this contest will run from Saturday, June 13 through to July 2.
Prizes
- We will be including our Broadview Danforth Dollars as prizes for both the Treasure hunt and the Support Local contest. These samples have been emailed to you. - As a reminder of how these work: please accept the dollars as cash. Then, email me when you have any of these dollars and I will exchange them for actual cash. You won't be out any money and I can usually exchange them within 24 hours of receiving your email.
- The denominations are $5 and $10 only. Details on identifying proper ones are in the same email that include the samples images.
Media & Marketing:
- We've had a fair amount of media coverage for these events this week, including the Toronto Star, CTV News, CP24 and CBC Radio.
- We have a radio commercial running all week on Rogers Media - radio spot attached.
- We've just completed a flyer postal drop to homes in our surrounding area.
These will be busy two days and I hope you can enjoy them and use the opportunity to promote your businesses.
