Good Afternoon Folks,
Over the past couple of days many of you have asked me who the Broadview Danforth BIA is endorsing for the City Councillor's spot that's opened up following Councillor Fletcher's retirement announcement. BIAs are not allowed to endorse any candidate. Whoever wins will be the person that I will be working with for the next 4 years. If we endorsed one candidate over another and our pick didn't win, my job working with the winner would be pretty uncomfortable.
If you are a BIA member who both lives and has a business in our ward there is a candidates' debate this coming Saturday, Oct. 24 starting around 9:45pm. Here's the link:
Debate: Saturday October 24, 9:45pm approx.: https://youtube.com/live/4Pmg1GrWHCM
There is also a mayoral candidates' debate tonight (Thursday) starting at a more reasonable hour - 7pm - hosted by CP24. You can watch the debate on any of the following:
The debate will air on CP24, stream on CP24.com, CTVNewsToronto.ca, the CP24 App, the CTV News App, as well as the CP24 YouTube channel, X / Twitter, and CP24’s TikTok. You can also watch the debate on Crave.
Thanks,
Susan
