As many of you have noticed, the City has now begun work on our section of the Danforth. They are digging up the sidewalks again in order to replace the lead water pipes. We had specifically asked for advance notice before they started the work but unfortunately they did not provide such advance notice. They have already been doing this work on Broadview Avenue.
Some of you received very little notice yesterday that your water would be turned off. Please know that our Board Executive is onto the City about this and has registered an official complaint.
There will be multiple crews on the street doing the work so hopefully it gets done in a timely fashion. They were originally scheduled to start this work in April/May, however, I explained that that timing would be horrible for our businesses. So they have at least managed to slot us into an earlier time frame.
