The PM has just completed his daily briefing and there was no new information on the roll-out of the Commercial Rent Relief program.  I suspect that we will receive more details and information next week.  In the meantime, I've attached once again the release from the Province yesterday with an overview of how this program will work for businesses and landlords in Ontario.  My suggestion is that you make sure that you're familiar with the information that is currently available and perhaps start a conversation with your landlord regarding their thoughts on this program and if they would be prepared to participate in the program.

 

Once again I'm hearing from a few businesses that people are trying to pull off scams which is so unfortunate.  I know that you're all aware that this happens but during this time please just be extra vigilant.  If someone wants to place a large order please make sure that you get their payment information first and that the payment actually goes through before you proceed with the order.

 

One of our hydro vaults on the south side of Danforth is just about to fail so we have a full Toronto Hydro crew working on replacing this vault.  For those of you who are physically coming into the area you've probably seen the set-up in front of the section from Bulk Barn over to Dough Bakeshop.  Unfortunately the work really has to be done and will take about 3 weeks.  The sidewalk in this area is completely free and people can access the stores in this area that are operating and there is parking on either side of the construction set-up.

 

The PM will not be doing a briefing tomorrow (Sunday) so we will connect again next week.
